What Is Acne?
Acne is a disorder resulting from the action of hormones and other substances on the skin's oil glands (sebaceous glands) and hair follicles. These factors lead to plugged pores and outbreaks of lesions commonly called pimples or zits.

Acne lesions usually occur on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders. Although acne is usually not a serious health threat, it can be a source of significant emotional distress. Severe acne can lead to permanent scarring.

Acne occurs when the hair follicle pores become clogged with secreted oil and dead skin cells. Each follicle is connected to sebaceous glands.

These glands secrete an oily substance known as sebum to lubricate your hair and skin. Sebum normally travels up along the hair shafts and then out through the opening of the hair follicle pore onto the surface of your skin. When your body produces an excess amount of sebum and dead skin cells, the two can sometimes build up in the hair follicle pore causing a blockage.

This blockage may produce a whitehead, a blackhead or a pimple.. Pimples are raised red spots with a white head center that develop when blocked hair follicles become inflamed or infected.

Their has been years of research done in the complex field of Dermatology and acne treatments by medical professionals trying to find the perfect acne medicine.

The end goals of this research is to help the millions of people around the world who cannot seem to get rid of their pimples, black heads and blemishes.
